A Note From Shirley

“Seeking therapy is a courageous step. It takes strength, vulnerability, and a willingness to face parts of us that can feel overwhelming or even painful, especially when sharing them with someone new. I recognize how hard it can be to open, to build trust with a therapist, and to navigate the emotional weight that can come with asking for support. In many cultures, therapy is still surrounded by stigma and misconceptions, which can create barriers to access and acceptance. There’s often confusion, fear, and uncertainty about what therapy really means, and that can make the journey even more challenging.

That’s why my approach is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience. I offer a holistic and individualized framework that integrates both emotional and cultural understanding. My goal is to meet you where you are, with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment.

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. A space where healing is not rushed but nurtured, and where therapy becomes a collaborative process, not just a clinical one. Ultimately, my aim is for therapy to feel accessible, empowering, and stigma-free because everyone deserves to feel mentally and emotionally well.
