A Note From Jona
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck and repeating the same patterns in relationships, overwhelmed by life transitions, or unsure how to take better care of themselves. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
In our work together, I’ll help you slow down and understand the “why” behind your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that you can begin to respond to life more intentionally, not just react. With warmth, honesty, and a dose of humor, I create a space where you can be fully yourself, without judgment.
My approach is collaborative and holistic: I consider the full context of your life, your history, culture, relationships, and values, while centering your goals and voice in the process. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to be seen, supported and empowered enough to take meaningful steps forward.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, relationship struggles, anxiety, or self-doubt, therapy with me is a space to better understand yourself and build a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
Experience
My style is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach, integrating tools from psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. At the heart of my work is a belief in your capacity to grow, heal, and reconnect with your strengths.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago. I have extensive experience in supporting teens, adults and older adults from a wide range of cultural and life backgrounds working through anxiety, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, chronic illness, and more. Whether you’re navigating ongoing mental health concerns or simply looking to reconnect with yourself, I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you at your pace.
Therapy with me is a space to be seen, supported, and challenged in ways that help you move forward with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.
