Brianna Keefe
Clinical Mental Health Counselor
LPC, MA
A Note From Brianna
“Some of the most significant challenges we face in life come down to our current and
past relationships: with others, with our communities, and – importantly – with ourselves.
I believe that the most healing aspect of therapy is the positive, safe relationship that
forms between counselor and client.
Our relationship will mirror the dynamics you experience in other relationships, acting as
a training ground where you can safely explore patterns of connection, communication,
and emotional expression. This will serve as a foundation for greater self-acceptance
and connection in other areas of life.”
Experience
Brianna is a Northwestern University graduate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed her graduate experience at Semillas Counseling, PLLC, working with adult individuals and couples. She supported her clients through issues such as sexual trauma, abuse, anxiety, infidelity, identity formation, chronic disease, and more. While at Northwestern, her graduate research focused extensively on eating disorders, particularly in addressing how family dynamics, parental trauma, and cultural factors influence the development and maintenance of these disorders. This research culminated in her Capstone, ‘Addressing Parental Trauma in Adolescent Anorexia.’
